#350: The Strange Adventure, Part 3: The Villain

“Dad!”

Dragon Father had fallen without any reason or attack.

He grabbed his legs in pain. “Oh, damn, damn, damn,” he said.

The King of the Galaxy ran over to Dragon Father’s side as well. “What’s wrong, Pirate Extraordinaire?”

“My legs…” he said through his teeth, biting back the pain. “They’re broken!”

I looked at these events in wonder. This was an unusual dream for Dragon Father, and an unusual dream in general, in the hundreds of dreams I have seen over the centuries.

“Yes, indeed,” the mysterious voice said. “I remember your broken legs, and it seems that you remember me.”

“Who is this, Justin Shelley?” the king asked. “Did he rob the bank to trap you? How dangerous is this villain?”

“Villain? Me?”

A figure who wasn’t there until now stepped out of the shadows. He was a wispy man of medium height and a big moustache. “Do I look like a villain?”

Dragon Little had her laser pistol and sword out and stepped between her father and this figure. “Take another step and I’ll put a hole in your butt!” she said.

The figure bent down on his knees to look at Dragon Little at the height of her eyes. “You think I’m the villain? I am not the villain, girl… I’m the hero.” He stood up and pointed at Dragon Father. “He is the villain!”

Dragon Father sat up, his legs in front of him on the ground, not moving. “He’s right, Joy. I’m the villain.”

Dragon Little spun around and looked at her father, shocked.

Dragon Father nodded. “I’m the villain,” he said.

Ah, this was such a strange dream. And it feels strange to tell it to you.

I will rest and continue to tell you of this dream tomorrow.
