‘The Squashbuckler Diaries’ are the daily tales of Joy Shelley’s Life in the Dream. The ‘Lost in Dreams’ books will tell the story of what happens to her at ages 6, 9, 12, 15, and so on. The diaries tell us what happens before, after, and between the books.

Dragon Father nodded and automatically said, “That’s one dollar.”

“Huh?”

“It’s a joke—Never mind—It’s funny—Forget it—It’s just something my d—” Suddenly Dragon Father froze. Then he looked at Dragon Little, “What were saying?”

“I have to pee.”

“Go pee! But quick! We have to catch Captain Badass!”

Dragon Little went to the plank to pee overboard, while Dragon Father went to the helm, ready to move Bonnie’s Revenge the second Dragon Little returned to the deck. Neither of them seemed to notice Dragon Father’s strange behavior. But I did. And even I didn’t know what to make of it.
