#348: The Strange Adventure, Part 1

The adventures Dragon Father summons up may always have different villains, take place on different planets, and their tasks in the adventures are always different as well - but the adventures are more or less the same.

But sometimes - very rarely - Dragon Father’s adventures are completely different.

One of those times was when Dragon Little was still less than four years old.

The morning began as usual.

Dragon father appeared on the deck of Bonny’s Revenge, in his usual spot, his body facing the same angle as always.

Immediately he woke Dragon Little up, gave her breakfast, helped her brush her teeth, and said, “I just got an emergency call from The King of the Galaxy. There’s been a robbery in one fo the galaxy’s biggest banks, and he asked for our help!”

“Let’s go!” Dragon Little jumped up and down. “I love robberies!”

Dragon Father shook his head. “Maybe we shouldn’t go today.”

Dragon Little crooked her head. She’d never heard him say something like that. “Is there another adventure?”

He shook his head.

“Is it too dangerous? I love dangerous!”

“I don’t think so. He didn’t say it was super dangerous.”

“Let’s go!”

“I’m not… I’m not… I don’t think I want to go on adventure today,” he said.

“But there was a robbery! They want out help!”

“I’ll tell them we’ll come tomorrow.”

Dragon Father did not want to go on an adventure he himself had just created… subconsciously. This was unprecedented for him. Dragon Little did not let him wallow in whatever emotion he was feeling. She endlessly badgered him until he agreed to go.

With Dragon Father at the helm and Dragon Little at his side, Bonny’s Revenge left the ocean and flew to the galaxy’s biggest bank.

It turned out that Dragon Father had good reason not to go on his adventure.

Tomorrow I will tell you what happened next.
