“Ecccccchhhhhhh” Dragon Little was choking.

Dragon Father and Dragon Little were at the helm of the Bonny’s Revenge, with Dragon Father holding the wheel as they were flying between the stars.

Dragon Father looked at her, worried.

She looked back and laughed.

Dragon Father nodded.

Dragon Father and Dragon Little looked over the railing. Bonny's Revenge, their flying pirate ship, orbited the Planet of the Gorillas.

"Their base is over there," Dragon Father pointed. "Are you clear on the plan?"

Dragon Little, 4 years old and already adept at fighting villains, nodded.

"Good!" he slammed his hands together. "Let's do it!"

Dragon Little and Dragon Father faced off against the powerful Wizard of Woz.

This was their life: They would begin their day on Bonny’s Revenge, their flying pirate ship, and each time adventure would take them to fight another crazy villain. I have never seen so many false villains before I had arrived at Dragon Father’s dream. But his villains seem endless, and he ist always the hero, along with his daughter.

One day, Dragon Father yelled at Dragon Little as loudly and as harshly as I had ever heard him.

She was being stubborn, as usual. And for some reason, Dragon Father lost his ability to stay calm.

Dragon Little stopped and looked at him. She was only three years old at the time.

Her chin wobbled, and it seemed as if she was about to cry .

Many hours after he had disappeared, Dragon Father appeared on the deck of Bonny’s Revenge.

He looked around.

“Oh, Joy!” he shouted, and ran to the helm.

Bonny’s Revenge rose into the air and flew at a speed that matches a dragon’s to where Dragon Father had left his daughter the previous day.

After Princess Adriana left Bonny’s Revenge for her arranged marriage, Dragon Father set off on his quest.

It was a wild quest, where he single-handedly defeated frost giants, orcs, and a terrible scheme to forge a single ring that would rule the entire world.

The adventure was wilder than usual, more violent, required more effort on his part, but Justin Shelley, Pirate Extraordinaire, was up to the job.

He stood in the middle of the deck and slammed his hands together. “All right! What do you want to do? Party!” He grimaced. “I hate parties. A movie?”

He began to pace the deck. “Saw them all. A show? Broadway? Stand-up?” He waved it aside. “Ahh, I don’t want to waste the two hours on that.”

Dragon Father flew Bonny’s Revenge all alone. The deck was empty. Dragon Little’s cabin was empty.

Even to me, afar in my hiding place, knowing and seeing that 4-year-old Dragon Little was safe on the small island - even to me it felt strange.

Dragon Father landed the flying pirate ship they call home in the port of another island.

“Hello, my good man,” he addressed the armored elf guarding the entrance to the island. “I am Justin Shelley, pirate extraordinaire, and I come at the request of the King of the Elves.”

Dragon Father flew off in Bonny’s Revenge, the pirate ship that served as his and his daughter’s home in his dream.

Just a few moments ago he had left his four-year-old daughter, which I lovingly call Dragon Little, on a small archipelago in the middle of an ocean, as he set off on a quest.

Another moment of flight, and his hands began to twitch and his leg bounced nervously. I am assuming it was because he was far from Dragon Little.

In the middle of battle, a flying monkey came down and swooped up Dragon Little, taking her away to the palace.

Dragon Father remained behind, on the deck of the ship, watching as his daughter was taken away.

“I’ll save you, Joy!” he yelled after her, even as he battled the monkeys with a sword in each hand. “I’m coming for you!”

I have never heard a laugh like Dragon Little’s.

Dragon Little’s laugh rolls and rolls. It is as if the entire world is funny. It is as if whatever made her laugh is the funniest thing in the world.

Every time she laughs, her father laughs, too. Her laughter is catchy.

Her laughter makes even me want to laugh, even though she is a human and I am a dragon.

“Last time I was here!” She pointed to a spot a few millimeters underneath.

“You’re growing up so much, you’re going to be taller than me one day.”

“I’m going to be as tall as the sky?”

“I… yeah…” he laughed. “You’re going to be as high as the sky!”

“I’m going to be as tall as you?”

“Look closely, little pirate,” the Super Ninja said.

Dragon Little stood next to the villain she had just released. The two were faced the closed door to Dragon Little’s cabin on Bonny’s Revenge.

Dragon Little nodded.

“Hiiiiiii-yaaaaa!” the Super Ninja yelled as he ran at the door quickly, jumped on it, ran up vertically a couple of steps, then jumped and flipped in the air, landing on his feet.

“The trick is the speed,” the Super Ninja said. “If you’re fast enough, you can do it.”

Dragon Father had disappeared, having woken up in his other world which I had never seen, but the Super Ninja was not yet handcuffed and the handcuffs were held by the sweet, four-year-old Dragon Little.

Neither the Super Ninja nor Dragon Little responded in any way to the fact that Dragon Father had disappeared.

“Come on, give me your hands,” Dragon Little said.

After a few hours, Dragon Father exploded in anger, threatened her that she would never have anything to wear, then apologized for having raised his voice.

Dragon Little did not waiver at any point. She curled into herself when he yelled, but she would not waiver.

Then Dragon Father spent an hour pacing back and forth on the deck of Bonny’s Revenge.
